The gentleman who runs this store is so kind. He helped us with a simple issue with our PC without making us feel stupid for bringing it in. We needed a power cable for the PC and he gave one to us for free. He didn't charge us a diagnostic fee and gave us a power cable and wouldn't accept any payment. So many shops will upcharge and over charge you, but I-5 computers is an honest shop. This is the second time we have brought something in to them and they have been excellent every time. � � � � � When your home computer is used for both work and personal life, and it suddenly starts behaving like an alien has taken control, randomly shutting down, restarting, and generally making you question every life decision that led you to that moment, take it to Darren at I-5 Computers. I spent two days working with ChatGPT to troubleshoot the problem and eventually narrowed it down to three possible hardware issues. That was helpful, but unfortunately ChatGPT still cannot crawl inside the computer with a screwdriver. I needed someone who could fix the problem quickly, and I did not want to wait three weeks for a big-box-store “squad” to eventually look at it. Darren diagnosed the issue as a failing CPU, replaced it, and had my computer back up and running in no time. He clearly knows what he is doing, explains the problem in understandable terms, and gets straight to the solution without unnecessary delays or drama. For anyone who prefers supporting a local business and dealing directly with an experienced professional by name, I-5 Computers is the place to go. Pricing was competitive (many times better) with everyone else I called in Vancouver but something told me over the phone that these guys knew their stuff. Knowledgeable. I've built four PC's for myself&others piece by piece and troubleshooted/researched them and their individual parts for lots of time while upgrding their hardware and having faulty pieces. They were able to figure out within an hour (or less than one) of labor - what I couldn't figure out in sixteen hours of labor and research.  Some things you only learn after working on thousands of computers. The price for services at face value is very affordable. Shockingly good deals, practical technical advice and repairs. my first impression of this place and these guys was awesome. As the tech enthusiast of my social circles, I'd be looking here first for parts and such going forward.
